Parking and Transport

SPRUKE 2022 —Brisbane’s Ukulele Festival is a ten day festival of fun, with events around Brisbane. Our main event SPRUKE On The Square is at King George Square in the heart of Brisbane. Other events will be at Coorparoo Bowls Club and Geebung Bowls Club. Please refer to the events page for more information.

PARKING-

King George Square

Brisbane City Council’s underground King George Square Car Park, between Ann and Adelaide Streets, Brisbane City is open for parking seven days a week. Vehicle entry is via Roma or Adelaide Streets and exit is via Roma Street. Please check the terms and conditions of car park entry.

King George Square Car Park is open weekends from 5.30am Friday to 11pm Sunday.

There is a weekend discount capped at $15 for over 8 hours parking. See special offers at the King George Square and Wickham Terrace Car Parks for full details.

Coorparoo Bowls Club

There is street parking and limited parking in the Bowls Club. Parking is free.

Geebung Bowls Club

Off street parking is free. Best access via entrance to car park: 357 Robinson Road West, Geebung (opposite Meals on Wheels).

ACCESS & ACCESSIBILITY 

King George Square

There is a lift up to the deck above Pig ‘n Whistle where the themed jams and beginner session will be held. There is also access via a ramp from Anne Street.

Mobility Centre
The Mobility Centre at City Hall provides free loans of mobility devices for use within Brisbane’s Central Business District, Southbank Parklands and the Southbank Cultural Precinct.
Wheelchairs, wheeled walkers and single prams can be borrowed for long or short periods, depending on availability.
The centre is located on the ground floor of Brisbane City Hall and is open:
Monday to Friday: 8am-5pm
Saturday and Sunday: 9am-5pm.

Changing Places toilet at City Hall
The Changing Places toilet features include:

  • peninsular toilet pan with grab rails both sides
  • ceiling hoist with a track that covers the entire room
  • adult-sized changing table
  • internal dimensions of 3.5 metres x 3.2 metres
  • hand washing facilities and paper towels

Open when City Hall is open.
