Binary Music at SPRUKE 2022

As a major sponsor of SPRUKE 2022 – Brisbane’s Ukulele Festival, Binary Music is proud to be associated with this fabulous ukulele event again this June. Although Binary Music stocks a wide range of ukulele brands, this year at their trade stand in King George Square on 11th June they will be showcasing just two premium brands: Flight Ukuleles and Kanile’a Ukuleles.

Kanile’a ukes are handcrafted in Hawaii and represent the pinnacle of Hawaiian luthiery. There will be a limited range of all-solid koa ukes on display.

Flight Ukuleles are a recent addition to the world of ukes, with the parent company and design team based in Slovenia in Eastern Europe. Their ukes represent a new wave of innovative design in the world of ukulele, with a wide range of unique models combining classic European heritage with a modern twist. Come and see the Flight Ukuleles and a wide range of uke accessories and uke print music at the Binary Music Trade Stand.

Binary Music will be running competitions during the day, so come along and sign up at the stand for your chance to win fabulous uke prizes.

Karen and Len from Binary Music will also be performing with their Redland City Ukulele (RCU) uke group at 3pm.

The RCUs meets at the Binary Music Studio Cleveland at 7pm on the Second and Fourth Thursday of each month. More details here on the Brisbane Ukulele page.


Binary Music host several uke groups at their Cleveland Studio: The Dukes of Uke every Thursday have a beginner group at 9am, and at 10am run a popular Studio and Zoom session. The Zoom option which started during the pandemic continues to allow anyone to join in with the jam. Len shares the charts on screen with full live audio. These sessions attract a number of regular participants each week from as far away as Victoria. Binary Music are sponsoring the Binary Music Stage at SPRUKE On The Square. You’ll see lots of great acts on The Binary Music Stage in front of the City Hall at the Adelaide Street end of King George Square.
